Vestas Receives Order For Wind Project In Mexico

Vestas has received an order for 16 units of its V90-1.8 MW turbines for a 28.8 MW project that will be located in the state of Chiapas in southern Mexico. The order has been placed by REM Generacion Electrica Mexicana, a company established for this purpose.

The order is a turnkey contract that includes delivery, installation, transportation and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a VestasOnline Business supervisory control and data acquisition system. The order also includes a 10-year service and maintenance agreement that features the AOM 4000, which is a full-scope service contract consisting of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and consumables.

Delivery of the turbines is expected to start in November.
