Vestas has secured a 34 MW order from Kangal Elektrik Uretim for the second phase of the Kangal RES wind power plant in Turkey.
The deal comprises the supply and installation of 17 units of the V110-2.0 MW wind turbine. The contract also includes an eight-year full-scope Active Output Management service agreement. Turbine delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2015, with commissioning expected in the fourth quarter of 2015.
The 34 MW phase is the second tranche of Kangal Elektrik's first wind project. Phase I is already operating and features 22 V100-2.0 MW turbines.
"Wind energy is leading the way to a renewable energy future in Turkey," comments Marco Graziano, president of Vestas Mediterranean. "Vestas is proud to have installed nearly 800 MW of wind power capacity in this country."
