Vestas has received a 100 MW order for a U.S. wind farm calling for 50 of its V110-2.0 MW turbines.
The contract includes supply and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a five-year service agreement. Delivery of the wind turbines is expected to begin during third quarter of 2016.
At the request of the customer, Vestas did not disclose the identity of the purchaser.
