Vestas says it has completed its first sale in the Ukraine, which represents the company's 67th market.
The order is for one V112-3.0 MW Vestas wind turbine for the Novorossiske project in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine, near the Black Sea. The customer, Vindkraft Ukraina, is aiming to develop a project portfolio of wind power plants in the region.
The order consists of the supply, installation and commissioning of the V112, along with a VestasOnline Business SCADA system. A service agreement is under negotiation. The turbine has been installed and is being commissioned, with start-up of full operations expected this month.
