Turbine maker Vestas has received an order calling for 12 Vestas V112-3.3 MW wind turbines for the Cancellara wind project, located in the southern province of Basilicata, Italy.
According to Vestas, the 40 MW order was placed by Eolica Cancellara SRL, a subsidiary of Energreen Holding Italia Spa, which is part of a Luxembourg investment entity operating in the clean energy market.
The contract includes the supply, electrical works and installation of the wind turbines, including the electrical infrastructure of the wind farm, as well as a 10-year service agreement. Delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled for the fourth quarter. Commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter of 2016.
Upon completion, the Cancellara wind power plant is expected to produce about 100,440 MWh annually.
