Vestas, a Danish supplier of modern renewable energy wind solutions, has selected the Lightning Decision Support System (LDSS) from Norman, Okla.-based Weather Decision Technologies Inc. (WDT) to support its wind energy business customers in the continental U.S.
Through the agreement, WDT is now Vestas' approved and recommended weather solution vendor. According to the companies, 40 wind farm customers are already using LDSS at sites across the Central Plains, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, and Iowa. More locations are expected to be added over the next several months, the companies say.
