Vermont Judge Rules In Favor Of Lowell Wind Project

A Vermont Superior Court judge has ruled that construction may continue on Green Mountain Power's 63 MW Lowell Wind Project, the Burlington Free Press reports.

Local residents had argued that the project was interfering with their land, the report states, and the judge ordered a restraining order for protesters to remain at least 1,000 feet from where the blasting is being done to make way for the project.

Construction on the project was halted last month due to alleged environmental violations but has since resumed.
