Dallas-based Ventus Wind Services Group – a full-service operations and maintenance provider specializing in rotor blade and tower repairs, and cleaning and servicing of all major wind turbine components – has opened several green office locations to service wind plant owners in the Pacific Northwest, the central U.S. and Canada.
Ventus is aggressively focused on reducing its carbon footprint in the course of its everyday business by developing a paper-free working environment, converting some of its office locations into virtual offices and reducing or eliminating the need for air travel whenever possible.
Most meetings with Ventus' utility and wind plant clients are held via Web conferencing, and work instructions and reports are emailed, stored and reviewed electronically.
