Dallas-based Ventus Wind Services Group, a full-service operations and maintenance provider of utility-grade wind turbines, plans on growing its business without having to construct new facilities.
Ventus Blade Services group is currently in discussions with several key U.S. marine companies to finalize its down-tower blade repair services. Ventus plans to utilize existing yacht- and boat-building facilities that are currently being closed due to the current down marine market and convert them over to full-scale blade repair facilities.
This eliminates the construction of new facilities, thereby reducing the impact on the environment, according to the company. Current facilities being evaluated are in the Portland, Ore., central Oklahoma and Midwestern regions.
