Denmark-headquartered Global Wind Service (GWS) says it has installed the last of the 57 Vestas V126 3.45 MW turbines at the Bearkat I wind farm in Texas.
The turbines are now in the process of being energized and commissioned by the project owner, says GWS, which was awarded installation for the 197.6 MW project by KranWind LLC, which carried out craning work.
“We are very pleased to have been working on this project in partnership with KranWind and are looking forward to be working on more U.S. projects in the future,” says Michael Nielsen, area manager at GWS.
The wind farm, owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure II K/S and developed by Tri Global Energy, is on 30,000 acres of privately owned land in Glasscock County, Texas.
