The Travelers Cos. Inc. says it has formed a new practice devoted to clean energy and technology-focused insurance products, as well as risk and claim management resources.
Travelers says its new Clean Energy & Technology Practice brings together all of the company's existing clean energy and technology practice areas, providing customers – including wind and solar manufacturers, contractors, power producers, owners and developers – with industry-specific insurance protection.
The new practice will be spearheaded by Joe Tracy, president of Travelers Inland Marine, and Kathy Swendsen, president of Travelers Global Technology. It will be co-managed by Kirstin Simonson, underwriting director for Travelers Global Technology, and Lauren Cutro Berry, underwriting vice president for Travelers Inland Marine.
