TransAlta Corp. says it will host its fifth Alberta fixed-price wholesale power auction on Sept. 29.
The power auction is targeted toward Alberta wholesale power buyers seeking an efficient means to secure an affordable and reliable supply of power for their long-term electricity needs, TransAlta explains.
At the upcoming auction, TransAlta will be selling a two-year strip of Alberta power. The auction will be facilitated by World Energy Solutions Inc, an operator of online exchanges for energy and green commodities.
