Indianapolis-based The Schneider Corp., a provider of engineering, technology and consulting solutions in the energy development and delivery market, is expanding its expertise to include wind energy.
Schneider is providing engineering services to the second phase of the Fowler Ridge Wind Farm, located 90 miles northwest of Indianapolis. The wind farm is expected to have a capacity of 750 MW.
‘Wind power is one of the lowest-cost renewable electricity generation methods available, and we expect the demand to grow in the future,’ says David Adams, chief operation officer at the Schneider Corp. ‘As more wind projects come online, our energy expertise will be needed to ensure the projects are done efficiently, timely and on budget.’
Services that The Schneider Corp. can provide to the wind industry include route selection and preliminary mapping, land surveying and title research, acquisition services, aerial and digital mapping, environmental studies and geotechnical studies.
