Suzlon Wind Energy Corp. (SWECO), a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of India-based Suzlon, has received a one-year contract extension to undertake operations, maintenance and service for EDP Renovaveis (EDPR).

Under the agreement, SWECO will maintain a fleet of 190 units of Suzlon’s S88 2.1 MW turbines installed across four sites in Rattlesnake and Wheatfield in Oregon, Meadow Lake in Indiana, and the Kittitas Valley in Washington. The towers total approximately 400 MW of wind capacity.

“[EDPR] is one of our long-standing customers, and we are proud to be partnering with them for the deployment of clean energy solutions,” notes Andy Cukurs, CEO of SWECO. “With over 2,700 MW of installations – making it our second-largest region – USA will play a pivotal role in our future growth strategy.”
