Suzlon Secures Turnkey Wind Order From Indian IPP

Suzlon Group has won its fifth order from independent power producer (IPP) ReNew Power Ventures Pvt. Ltd. for a 100.80 MW wind project in Madhya Pradesh, India.

Suzlon will install 48 units of its latest S111 120-meter wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2.1 MW, for ReNew Power’s Limbwas wind farm.

Suzlon will also provide a comprehensive range of services, including operations and maintenance and lifecycle asset management, for an initial period of 10 years. The turnkey project is scheduled to be completed by March 2018. Suzlon notes that the project has the potential to provide power to over 54,000 households.


With this order, Suzlon’s portfolio with ReNew Power exceeds more than 600 MW, spanning across the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

The new turbine has garnered an enthusiastic response from customer segments across the board.”
