Suzlon Group says it will provide 49 of its S88 2.1 MW wind turbines to Oil & Natural Gas Corp. Ltd. (ONGC) for a 102.9 MW wind farm in Rajasthan, India.
The S88 turbine is designed for medium wind regimes and has the ability to withstand extreme conditions, Suzlon notes.
ONGC currently has an existing installed base of 51 MW from wind energy projects operating in Gujarat, India. The new order will bring ONGC's total installed wind power capacity to 153.9 MW.
