Suzlon says it has completed commissioning of a 50.4 MW turnkey wind power project in India for Ostro Energy Pvt. Ltd.

Comprising 24 S97-2.1 MW wind turbines with hub heights of 90 meters each, the wind project is Ostro's first in India. The machines are part of Suzlon's S9X suite of turbines and feature doubly fed induction generator technology.

Located in Tejuva, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, the project forms an integral part of Suzlon's Jaisalmer wind park, which has a cumulative capacity of 1.3 GW and is billed to be the country's largest, says Suzlon.

Suzlon has been responsible for the entire project lifecycle and will perform operations and maintenance services for 12 years through an integrated service-package contract.
