Suncor's Cedar Point Wind Project Clears ERT Hearing The Environmental Review Tribunal (ERT) has dismissed a claim against Suncor Energy's Cedar Point Wind Project, planned for Lambton County, Ontario.

The 100 MW wind project, powered by 46 wind turbines, received its renewable energy approval by the Ministry of the Environment on Aug. 22, 2014. Less than two weeks later, the Corporation of the County of Lambton and Kimberley and Richard Lance Bryce filed an appeal with the ERT on the grounds that the wind turbines would negatively impact the health of nearby residents.

The ERT, however, ruled that the plaintiffs provided insufficient evidence to prove that the turbines would negatively impact health.
