Hexcel Corp., an advanced composites company, says that its manufacturing plant in Decatur, Ala., shut down Wednesday as severe storms disrupted electrical power to the region.

Hexcel, which is headquartered in Stamford, Conn., manufactures structural materials used in wind turbine blades.

The company is awaiting restoration of its utility services in order to confirm that all systems are operational.
