Following 10 years in the solar photovoltaic sector, Spain-headquartered consulting and engineering firm Enertis is branching out into the wind power market.
Enertis, which already has a presence in more than 40 countries, expects to have the most success in Latin America. The company says Argentina, Mexico and Chile are its first targets, but it plans to look for further opportunities in Central America, the U.S. and Europe.
Eugenio Chinchón will head the new wind power business in Chile. Previously, he served as country manager in South America for DNV GL and as a business development manager for ESBI, an electric utility in Ireland.
