SkyPower Corp., a Canadian renewable energy developer and Lehman Brothers affiliate, has submitted in concert with its bidding partners a total of seven bids into the Hydro Quebec call for tender. The bids total over 900 MW of potential projects for planned construction for 2010 through 2015, SkyPower says.
In conjunction with its recent acquisition of an equity stake in Quebec wind turbine manufacturer AAER, SkyPower has committed to bid AAER wind turbines in these bids. (See ‘SkyPower Acquires Equity Stake In AAER.’)
SkyPower adds that it has worked closely with its bidding partners to ensure that its proposed projects are sound and competitive – and have the requisite community and First Nation support.
