Siemens will supply 87 SWT-2.3-108 wind turbines for Pattern Energy's 200 MW Logan's Gap wind project, located in Comanche County, Texas.
According to Siemens, turbine installation is scheduled to begin this year, with the start of operations expected in the fall. A service and maintenance agreement was also signed.
Siemens says the nacelles for the project will be assembled in Hutchinson, Kan., and the blades will be manufactured at the company's Fort Madison, Iowa-based blade facility. The project represents the 12th project between Siemens and Pattern Development in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and South America.
