Siemens has won an order from Vattenfall for the 28.8 MW Juktan onshore wind farm, located in Sweden.
Siemens is to supply nine SWT-3.2-113 direct-drive turbines. The 3.2 MW machines will be mounted on towers with a hub height of 93.5 meters. The project is located in the Sorsele municipality in northern Sweden, and Siemens says the rotor blades will be equipped with active de-icing equipment to handle the cold climate.
The contract includes also a service and maintenance agreement for a period of five years. Installation is scheduled for fall 2015.
