Siemens has secured a 51 MW order from Japanese developer Eurus Energy Holdings Corp. The turbine maker will provide 17 of its SWT-3.0-101 direct-drive machines for the Eurus Yurikogen wind project.
The SWT-3.0-101 turbine has a capacity of 3 MW and a rotor diameter of 101 meters. Installation and commissioning of the Eurus Yurikogen wind farm will start in January 2016. The deal also includes a five-year service and maintenance agreement.
