Siemens will supply 21 wind turbines to NJR Clean Energy Ventures (NJRCEV) for the 48 MW Alexander wind project, located in Rush, Kan.
According to Siemens, the contract calls for the delivery of 21 SWT-2.3-108 wind turbines that are part of its G2 turbine technology platform. A service and maintenance agreement was also signed to help ensure the turbines operate at optimal levels, Siemens notes.
According to Siemens, the nacelles for the project will be assembled at the company's Hutchinson, Kan.-based plant with the blades emanating from the company's Fort Madison, Iowa-based blade facility.
NJRCEV, which will own and operate the Alexander wind farm, expects the project to be operational this fall.
