Siemens has received a 114 MW order from Nordisk Vindkraft for the Sidensjo wind power project in Sweden.
Siemens will supply 48 direct-drive wind turbines with an output of 3 MW each and a rotor diameter of 113 meters. The scope of supply also encompasses servicing of the wind turbines for a period of 15 years.
Nordisk Vindkraft will realize the project, located 6 km west of the city of Sidensjo, on behalf of Stadtwerke Munchen. Project commissioning is scheduled for spring 2015.
