Dallas-based Shermco Industries, a provider of rotating apparatus and electrical power system testing, has added a wind generation substation maintenance and safety program. Shermco will perform 21 on-site classes at wind farms around the U.S. through March and is currently taking bookings for later dates.
The new program is designed to train wind industry professionals on the maintenance of electrical power system equipment located at the wind generation site, while covering the use and interpretation of single-line diagrams. Shermco will also address the hazards associated with electrical equipment and cover safety components such as arc flash awareness.
