Senvion, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Suzlon Group, has signed four contracts in the U.K. totaling more than 60 MW. The company says it will supply the following projects:
- 28.7 MW Penmanshiel wind farm, located near Granthouse in the Scottish Borders. The RES-developed wind farm will consist of 14 Senvion MM82. Pre-construction work has recently started, with project completion in autumn 2016. A 20-year service contract has also been signed for the project.
- 10.2 MW Reaps Moss wind farm, located in east Lancashire. The project will consist of three Senvion 3.4M 104 turbines. Turbine installation will begin in summer 2015. A 20-year service contract has also been signed.
- 10.25 MW Watford Lodge, located near Daventry, Northamptonshire, which will be powered by five Senvion MM92 turbines. Construction will start in summer 2015 and is due for completion in autumn 2015. The deal also includes a 15-year service contract.
- 14.35 MW New Albion wind farm, located in Northamptonshire, will be powered by seven Senvion MM82 turbines and is due to start in January 2015. The project is scheduled to be fully operational by January 2016.
