Fred. Olsen Renewables says it has tapped Senvion to supply 30 of its 2.05 MW turbines for the Brockloch Rig Wind Farm, located near the village of Brockloch in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
Otherwise known as Windy Standard II, the project is close to the existing Windy Standard wind farm, which Fred. Olsen Renewables originally developed in partnership with RWE Npower renewables.
The developer notes it has also chosen Scotland-based Galliford Try Ltd. to provide balance-of-plant work for Brockloch Rig, and the wind farm is slated for completion in early 2017.
