Senvion has signed a contract with Fred. Olsen Renewables Ltd. to supply 30 Senvion MM series turbines to the 61.5 MW Brockloch Rig wind farm in the U.K.
The project is located in the hills above Carsphairn Forest, some 9 km north of Carsphairn in Dumfries and Galloway. Senvion will provide 21 Senvion MM82 and nine Senvion MM92 turbines, with the first installations scheduled for summer 2016.
"This will be our first project with Senvion in the U.K.," notes David Brunt, CEO of Fred. Olsen Renewables. "They were selected following a competitive process, and we now look forward to working with the Senvion team in delivering this key project."
