Senvion SE, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Suzlon Group, has signed a new contract with Infinis Energy totaling over 40 MW in the U.K. Under the deal, Senvion will supply turbines to the A'Chruach Wind Farm, which Infinis is developing in Argyll and Bute, Scotland.
The A'Chruach project will consist of a mixture of 12 MM92 turbines and nine MM100 turbines, with a total rated output of 42.6 MW. Construction is due to start next summer, with the project slated to be online at the end of 2015. Senvion will also provide maintenance of the wind farm for five years.
"I am delighted to further develop our relationship with Infinis, one of the U.K.'s leading generators of renewable power," says Raymond Gilfedder, managing director of Senvion Northern Europe. "Infinis already own three projects featuring Senvion turbine, so confirming our first supply contract with them is proof of our successful relationship – and we look forward to continuing this partnership with them in the future."
