Turbine manufacturer Senvion has announced the Trianel Windpark Borkum II offshore wind project is ready for the next phase of development, following the completion of the turbine delivery and service contract.
According to Senvion, the offshore wind farm, located north of the island Borkum in the German North Sea, will be powered by 32 Senvion 6.2M152 turbines with a power upgrade and will be installed in a water depth of 25 to 35 meters.
Although the conditional contract for the turbine delivery and service was signed last September, according to Senvion, the notice to proceed was only confirmed at the end of April. The installation of the turbine components is planned for spring 2019.
