Germany-based Senvion has signed a wind turbine supply agreement with wpd for an 18.45 MW project in Ontario.
The company will deliver nine MM92 type wind turbines – specially designed for cold climates – to the White Pines wind farm, located in Prince Edward County. Each has a rated power output of 2.05 MW.
The project will provide power to about 3,000 homes, says Senvion. The partners have also reached a service and maintenance agreement for 15 years.
Turbine delivery is scheduled for next summer.
