SeaRoc Group says it has been awarded a five-year framework contract from ScottishPower Renewables to provide health, safety and quality management support to its East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm.
According to SeaRoc, the scope of work includes provision of specialist personnel to provide advice and support to the project during construction, development of management systems, and delivering comprehensive training to help ensure safe and efficient work on the project.
“Delivering East Anglia ONE will be a major engineering challenge, involving up to 3,000 people working in a variety of locations. Safety will always be our No. 1 priority, and SeaRoc will help us to ensure that the project is delivered to the highest standards,” says Charlie Jordan, ScottishPower Renewables’ project director.
“SeaRoc Group has been providing specialist HSEQ services to the offshore renewable energy sector since 2002, and we’re confident that we will deliver a quality service to ScottishPower Renewables as the project progresses through construction,” comments Kelly-Ann Ee, head of HSEQ at SeaRoc Group.
SeaRoc says this contract extends its U.K. project portfolio, having now supported 29 of the U.K.’s offshore wind farm constructions.
