Sugarland, Texas-based Industrial Info Resources (IIR) says that 21 wind projects – valued at more than $7 billion – will be completed by the end of this quarter.
In fact, IIR notes that Invenergy's Bishop Hill wind farm, located in Henry County, Ill., and Enel Green Power North America's Rocky Ridge wind farm, located in Kiowa County, Okla., commenced commercial operation this month.
Among the other projects the research firm is following is the massive 845 MW Shepherds Flat wind farm, located in Gilliam and Morrow counties, Ore. Construction on the wind farm began in mid-2010 and is expected to be completed in August.
While a few of the projects will almost certainly be delayed, most should be wrapped up not long after the end of September, notes IIR.
