Enbridge Inc. and Renewable Energy Systems Canada Inc. (RES Canada) have entered into an agreement to develop the Talbot Wind Energy project, a 99 MW project near Chatham, Ontario.
The total investment in the project by both parties is approximately $285 million, with Enbridge having a majority interest. The project, expected to be completed in December 2010, features 43 Siemens 2.3 MW turbines.
Under the terms of the agreement, RES Canada will perform engineering, procurement and construction. Siemens will provide operations and maintenance services for the wind turbines under a five-year agreement.
