Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES Americas) has been awarded the balance-of-plant (BOP) construction contract for the Flat Water Wind Project in Nebraska. The project will mark RES Americas' second wind energy project in the state.
Flat Water Wind Farm LLC is associated with a tri-party partnership between Gallop Power, Gestamp Wind North America – a subsidiary of Gestamp Renewables – and Banco Santander SA.
Located in southern Nebraska's Richardson County and Kansas' Nemaha County, the 60 MW project will comprise 40 1.5 MW GE wind turbines. Construction is underway with completion scheduled for December.
