MAG, a machine tool and systems company that serves industries such as the wind power sector, reports that it recently hosted U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., at its Hebron, Ky., manufacturing facility.
MAG says the senator met with MAG President Dan Janka and members of the executive team, and addressed the plant's employees. McConnell praised the company for its export success serving the renewable energy, heavy equipment, aerospace and automotive industries.
According to MAG, McConnell also praised the company's apprenticeship training program, noting that ‘a key to filling manufacturing jobs is getting workers trained with skills vital to the job.’
