REpower USA To Move Its Headquarters To Denver In September

REpower USA Corp., the wholly owned subsidiary of German wind turbine manufacturer REpower Systems AG, plans to build a new U.S. headquarters in Denver beginning in early September.

The office, previously located in Portland, Ore., will be designated for administrative, sales and project management functions. The company says it will maintain a presence in Portland.

‘To maintain REpower's future competitiveness and meet our customers' needs in the growing U.S. marketplace, it is crucial to be strategically located and close to all our customers and projects,’ says Steve Dayney, CEO of REpower USA Corp.

Initially, the Denver office will be made up of about 25 relocating or newly hired employees. The staff level is expected to double within the next 12 months at the new office, depending on the overall U.S. wind energy market, the company says.
