Starting in early May, renewable energy and grid integration consultancy SgurrEnergy will rebrand as Wood Group Clean Energy.
Providing engineering and technical advisory services to global renewable energy projects, the Glasgow, Scotland-based company has been a part of Wood Group’s clean energy business since 2010. The consultancy says the rebranding will support the uniting of Wood Group’s individual businesses.
“This provides us with the platform for further international growth,” says Jan Dell, vice president of clean energy, water and climate at Wood Group. “We will continue to leverage Wood Group’s global network of offices and technical resource to enhance delivery of integrated services for renewable energy developers, lenders, investors and operators.”
The consultancy, which recently welcomed Claus Hjoerringgaard as its new director of clean energy, will be moving its headquarters to St. Vincent Plaza in Glasgow. An official office launch is expected in the summer.
