U.S.-based Renewable NRG Systems and Belgium-based FLiDAR have entered an exclusive partnership for the distribution of FLiDAR's offshore wind measurement buoys in the Americas.
Under this agreement, Renewable NRG Systems will provide FLiDAR with WindCube LIDAR systems and allow the Belgian company to take advantage of a LIDAR service and supply center.
According to the companies, FLiDAR has already established itself as an offshore wind measurement leader in Europe, with commercial contracts in place with DONG Energy and Mainstream Renewable Power and multiple validations. The company's wind measurement buoy has recently been validated by DNV GL as being at Stage 2 on the Carbon Trust road map for commercial acceptance.
