Regester Larkin Energy, a global energy consultancy firm, is opening its first North American office in Washington, D.C.
R. Kirk Sherr, previously a principal at the Scowcroft Group, has been recruited to run the new North America division. Kirk has intimate knowledge of U.S. and foreign energy markets and political and regulatory issues, built up over 17 years of advising businesses throughout North America, Asia and the Middle East and working with the U.S. government.
He has particular expertise in the Latin American energy market, having spent nearly 20 years in the region as a business leader and diplomat with the U.S. State Department.
Through its new office, Regester Larkin Energy will help U.S.-based energy companies and those entering the U.S. market understand and address diplomatic, strategic, policy and regulatory issues that may adversely affect their licenses to operate.
Regester Larkin Energy plans to open a Houston office by the end of the year.
