Bellevue, Wash.-based Puget Sound Energy (PSE) has added four new wind turbines to its Hopkins Ridge Wind Facility, bringing the total number of turbines at the facility to 87 for a nameplate capacity of 157 MW.

‘Wind power and southeastern Washington are a great team,’ says Kimberly Harris, executive vice president and chief resource officer for PSE. ‘Hopkins Ridge is both a valuable contributor to meeting renewable energy needs and to the local economy and tax base in Dayton and Columbia County.’

PSE says it has updated the aviation warning lights at Hopkins Ridge, replacing the original 44-light design with an improved array of 19 lights synchronized with the adjacent Marengo wind facility.
