Pharos Offshores Hydraulic Cable Grab says it has successfully supported and completed the recovery of a faulty cable section near the Walney Offshore Wind Farm from aboard the Edda Fonn vessel.
The subsea hydraulic cable grab had been built to client specification for the Walney project and was delivered within a six-day turnaround to Liverpool Port ready for operations.
The Walney Wind Farm is located in the Irish Sea, about 14 km west of Walney Island and covering an area of approximately 73 sq-km. With a total generating capacity of 367 MW, Walney is one of the largest offshore wind farms in the world.
