Pattern Energy Chooses Wind OS System For Fleet Management

0

Pattern Energy Group Inc. has selected Envision Energy's Wind OS system to consolidate control of its wind power assets in North and South America.

Envision says Pattern Energy will use Wind OS for its current operating fleet of six projects and 1,041 MW at its Operations Control Center (OCC) in Houston, Texas, to standardize operations, ensure timely response to events, optimize performance, and improve efficiency in the operation of its growing fleet.

According to Envision, Wind OS is a standardized overlay system that helps give operators control and monitoring capabilities for wind turbines, substations and met towers through a unified interface. In addition, the company says Wind OS provides access to a centralized data repository for analysis, trending and reporting of performance data.

Integration of Wind OS for the Pattern Energy fleet is under way and is projected to be fully implemented and tested in a four-month timeframe.
