Windkraft Nord USA Inc., a subsidiary of WKN AG, a wind developer based in Germany, has sold the project rights of a Montana wind farm to Pattern Development.
Pattern has acquired the 80 MW Vivaldi Springtime wind farm, which is expected to begin commercial operations in mid-2018.
WKN, which is majority-owned by PNE WIND AG, notes that the project has been sold “ready to build,” including the power purchase agreement and grid connection.
“Vivaldi Springtime has been a long-term development of the WKN Group,” states Roland Stanze, WKN’s chief operating officer. “Over the last couple of years, the project has been updated in regards to permitting, and a power purchase agreement has been obtained with extensive support of the local development team of PNE WIND USA.”
