Power contract negotiations have been finalized for the 200 MW Apuiat wind farm in Quebec.
Hydro-Québec and the project’s partners – Société en commandite Apuiat, formed by participating Innu Nation communities, and Boralex Inc. – have announced that discussions held over the last few days were “fruitful.”
The negotiations resulted in an agreed version of a power purchase agreement (PPA). In order to comply with each party’s respective governance rules, the partners agreed to put on hold the final steps leading to the approval and signature of the PAA.
After the electoral period, this version of the PPA will be submitted to the respective boards of directors. The commercial aspects of the contract will not be disclosed, the partners note.
