Turbine maker Vestas says Nordic renewable energy developer OX2 has placed an order for the Maevaara 2 wind farm, located in northern Sweden.
The contract includes the supply, installation and commissioning of 10 V126-3.3 MW wind turbines, along with a long-term service contract. Turbine delivery is planned to begin in the second quarter of 2016 with installation during the second and third quarter of 2016.
Vestas notes the wind farm will be the second in Sweden to use the V126 turbine platform.
