OPA Announces Connection Point Change For Transmission Areas

0

The Ontario Power Authority (OPA) has announced a process for offering up to 750 MW in the Bruce transmission area and up to 300 MW in the London transmission area. Eligible projects are those on the feed-in-tariff priority-ranking list in those transmission areas.

Based on an updated transmission-availability table, proponents will have until June 10 to make a change to their connection point. Immediately after the change window closes on June 10 at 5 p.m. EDT, the OPA will carry out a transmission availability test and a distribution availability test for all eligible projects.

Those projects that do not require upgrades will be offered contracts based on the priority ranking. The OPA expects to make contract offers later this month.
