Oklahoma's secretaries of energy and environment, in conjunction with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, are presenting the state's first wind energy conference on Dec. 2 and 3 in Oklahoma City at the Cox Convention Center. The conference – REVOLUTION- will feature nationally known wind experts, exhibits and sessions about economic development, infrastructure needs, landowner issues and wildlife.

‘Clean, sustainable and affordable, wind is the poster child for our vision of America's new energy plan,’ says David Fleischaker, Oklahoma's secretary of energy. ‘This conference will introduce the nation to Oklahoma's bountiful wind resource.’

Keynote speakers include T. Boone Pickens and the Nature Conservancy's CEO, Mark Tercek.

According to organizers, the conference will appeal to farmers and ranchers who want to hear more about land leasing issues, wind turbine manufacturers, wind farm developers, community planners and community developers, economic development groups, consultants, sustainable energy advocates, conservation and environmental groups, utility companies and co-ops.
